In the first training course, we delved into the core values and principles of social entrepreneurship. We learned how these businesses can contribute to inclusive communities by creating job opportunities and fostering a sense of belonging among marginalized groups. This foundation was crucial as it helped us understand the bigger picture and the potential of social enterprises in shaping a better future.

The second course was all about hands-on skills. We learned how to develop a business plan, identify funding sources, and the importance of leadership in running a successful social enterprise. It was an eye-opening experience, especially the sessions on EU funding sources, which provided practical knowledge on accessing financial support for our ventures.

Latvia Activity

One of the most exciting parts of the program was our third training course, where we met with real-life social entrepreneurs. This ‘Living Library’ of entrepreneurs gave us the chance to hear firsthand about the challenges and successes they encountered. Their stories were incredibly inspiring and showed us that with resilience and innovation, we too could create impactful projects.

Finally, our last training focused on the future - how we can use the skills and knowledge we’ve gained to build our own social enterprises. We explored various entrepreneurial competencies, including creativity, innovation, and the importance of networking. This course was particularly empowering as it encouraged us to think critically about the needs in our own communities and how we can address them through entrepreneurial initiatives.
